(left) It's hard to be an artist in Door County, Wisconsin without toying with the idea of doing something with doors. Such was the case with me when I lived here in the late 1980s. At the time, I started a Door County Doors poster by taking a bunch of slides of interesting doors. The poster never happened and the slides are securely buried away somewhere in 20 years of accumulations. So, I grabbed my camera and started the project again. This time, bringing the poster to completion in a lot less time thanks to digital photography and computer technology. This first edition poster (more may follow) has a nice cross-section of Door County doors, from elegant victorian residential, rugged commercial to humble, time-worn barn and shed doors.
